Employment Projects

What does FWT offer?

FWT – a centre for women offers a range of FREE women only courses to support you to develop your skills, such as ESOL, English, Maths and IT.

We are currently funded by #UKSPF UK Shared Prosperity Fund, and Barclays LifeSkills to support women, including Economically Inactive Women, to be empowered through holistic skills training (including Digital Skills), health and wellbeing, and to progress towards employment.

ESOL

At FWT, we offer three English language courses: Beginners ESOL, Entry 1 ESOL and English Functional Skills. These courses will support your speaking, reading, and writing abilities in a comfortable, women only environment that will help build your confidence and increase your employability and skills.

Basic IT & Digital LifeSkills for Work

We offer basic IT and digital skills sessions at our centre to help women learn how to use computers and develop their knowledge. From creating email accounts to using Microsoft applications, Managing Finances, applying for work, and Confidence Building, we will have friendly staff available to support your needs no matter what your level is, in these relaxed sessions that will be running weekly at the centre!

Online Wellbeing Workshops

FWT offers holistic support for women in our weekly online Wellbeing Workshops (on Zoom), and monthly in person sessions for women. We are planning activities including Arts & Crafts, lunches and walks. The workshops aim to support women who want to improve their health, wellbeing, confidence, and employment skills, in virtual and interactive sessions where you can get involved with activities and meet new people.
