Foleshill Women's Training

Welcome to Foleshill Women's Training

Spring 2010

"My life had stopped.  I came here.  It started again."

Newsflash:

FWT are pleased to announce that they have been awarded money to refurbish the centre from The Capacity Builders fund. We are pleased to say that the work has begun, we will update the website with pictures very soon!

Welcome to Foleshill Women's Training. We’re 21 years old this year, and continue to work hard to change the lives of the women of Coventry, and help women move forward.

We offer education, training, healthcare and employment opportunities for all Coventry women, and this website contains information about all our projects, events, stories, interviews, and much more! Activities take place at the centre, and at locations around the city.

Our 'What's On' section highlights the forthcoming events we are involved in, at the centre, and across Coventry:

Message from the Operational Manager :

We have been very busy in the centre since the last time I wrote, our centre refurbishment is fully underway and should be finished by easter, we would love you to come in and have a look!!

Our Mamta project focuses on health care for women and now includes a Pre conception care project to enable us to work across the whole of Coventry:

If you are just starting out on the internet or do not feel confident in browsing our website, please call into our offices as we have just the course for you, our 'UK online' courses are available every day in the centre except on Thursdays and you can even find us in Foleshill library on Tuesday mornings if that is more convenient to you:

Our UKonline sessions have just gone city wide, we are hoping to bring this wonderful course to a centre near you, please contact the centre for more information.

We have an Ofsted approved creche on the premises with free 2 hours sessions available to women who attend our courses:

We also offer Volunteering opportunities within the centre, if you feel that you would like to volunteer within a community based organisation, please give us a call:

The New Year has also brought us some well deserved awards, Chris McNaught, the Centre Manager, won a woman of achievement award and attended a ceremony in recognition.  Our ESF project and two of the Mamta projects have been awarded comendations in the very first Coventry Compact awards, we are all very proud of the achievments of the staff and the work that has been done by them.
